Overview:  Santa Fe Recovery Center is the story of people who have cared deeply about helping others in their community for over 17 years. It is the story of a behavioral health system that has provided needed care to thousands of residents in New Mexico that have struggled with addiction and mental health disorders as part of its mission to restore hope, health, and well being in a recovery environment that embraces compassion, dignity, and respect.

 

The Santa Fe Recovery Center envisions recovery for all individuals struggling with addictions and mental health disorders by providing culturally relevant, evidenced- based treatment and education in partnership with other community organizations, the City of Santa Fe, and the State of New Mexico.

 

As a CARF-accredited substance use disorder (SUD) program, SFRC offers detox services in both Santa Fe and Gallup, short term residential treatment for men and women, long-term recovery housing, outpatient and IOP services, extended residential treatment to assist with recovery, and medication assisted treatment. Intensive Outpatient Services IOP are available Spanish; Santa Fe’s residential program has the capacity to serve pregnant and post-partum women and children under 5 years of age. SFRC is also committed to providing integrated care to ensure its clients medical needs are also being met, it embraces the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) criteria and the Bio-Psychosocial Model for assessments and programmatic development.

 

This rapidly growing $22m CARF accredited organization is headquartered in Santa Fe and is blessed with having a wonderfully supportive Board and leadership team committed to quality care. With over 200 professionals serving this region, SFRC assisted more than 1400 individuals in 2021 through its diverse set of programs and maintains a close relationship with the Santa Fe community and State of New Mexico.

 

The Role: This is a wonderful opportunity for an experienced behavioral health leader to build on an already strong and highly regarded system that is further positioning itself to be successful in New Mexico’s rapidly expanding health and behavioral healthcare environment.

  • possess a passion and commitment to the people we serve

  • have a track record of being both a visionary and strategic leader

  • be committed to a recovery model with substantive experience with clients/patients with an SUD diagnosis and in many cases who are dually-diagnosed with a psychiatric disorder. 

  • have a demonstrated ability to work effectively in complex organizations. 

  • be effective at establishing credibility and confidence with staff, government officials, community leaders, and other internal and external stakeholders with a “partnering” philosophy

  • possess a strong business capability with solid management skills; committed to mission while insuring fiscal strength

  • leadership experience in rapidly growing organizations

  • have had success at recruiting and retaining executive staff at every level

  • have evidence of exemplary leadership within similar organizations that are fully immersed in delivering excellent care with a philosophy that encourages the development of strong teams with a common purpose

  • have strong technological skills and a commitment to a data driven environment

  • have excellent communications skills, with a reputation of being able to inspire and motivate others in the search of providing on-going opportunities for organizational growth within a strong fiscal foundation

  • be seen by others as having a reputation for honesty, transparency, integrity, credibility, and a commitment to "principle centered leadership"

  • have a history of valuing innovation and creativity; being entrepreneurial and capable of thinking “outside the box” as this Center grows

  • be committed to providing integrated health care

  • have experience leading in a growth-oriented multi-site and remote operations environment

  • have successful experience working with community boards

  • have public sector health care experience in advocacy & with Medicaid 

  • 5 years of senior management/leadership experience in a health care setting;

  • providing addictions/substance use treatment preferred; personal or family

  • “lived experience” is a plus; Master’s degree from a health care or business program desirable
