ABOUT ARUNDEL LODGE

Known for its innovation and clinical excellence, Arundel Lodge. Inc. ALI is a respected and reliable community and regional partner with a reputation within the healthcare and human services system for its advocacy and “can do” approach to meeting client and community needs. To support its service recipients, Arundel Lodge is proactive in adopting emerging and evidence-based practices.

A few examples of ALI’s commitment to innovation and change include:

  • Achieving licensure as an Outpatient Mental Health Clinic and adopting the Recovery Model of care

  • Becoming one of Maryland’s first Behavioral Health Homes

  • Receiving a SAMHSA grant that supports work to become a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic

  • Recently opening a Behavioral Health Urgent Care Center located within the community’s regional medical center.

Through these and other unique community partnerships, Arundel Lodge has emerged as an integral part of the healthcare and human service community.

Arundel Lodge is a private, not-for-profit community mental health center based in Edgewater, Maryland serving Anne Arundel County and the surrounding region (www.arundellodge.org). ALI is governed by a volunteer citizen Board of Directors with diverse representation that includes individuals with backgrounds in education, social services, healthcare, business and a broad spectrum of community engagement and advocacy. Funded by Medicaid, Medicare, private insurance, state and federal grants, local government resources and philanthropic giving, ALI has annual gross revenues of $12M+. The organization serves 4000+ clients each year and employs over 150+ full and part-time clinical and administrative staff dedicated to providing a comprehensive continuum of behavioral health services.

Arundel Lodge’s Executive Director, Mike Drummond, will be retiring in mid-2023 after a career in healthcare and human services, including the last 15 as Arundel Lodge’s chief executive. Its Board of Directors has initiated a national search to identify and recruit top-notch candidates to compete to lead Arundel Lodge into its next chapter of innovation and growth.
