Seeking an experienced and collaborative Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to lead clinical quality and team development across CHR’s Child & Family Programs — working shoulder-to-shoulder with APRNs, therapists, program directors, and operations leaders.

Why CHR?

Join a mission-driven, team-first organization serving children, teens, and families across a full continuum of behavioral health services. At CHR you’ll find:

  • Collaborative Team, every day: An interdisciplinary environment where ideas are heard and wins are shared.

  • Impact at scale: Guide care across multiple child & family programs.

  • Strong infrastructure: Experienced directors, interdisciplinary partners, and reliable operations so you can lead and practice medicine.

  • Growth & mentorship: Visible leadership seat with opportunities to coach clinicians and develop emerging leaders.

  • Award-Winning Culture: CHR has been voted a Top Workplace in CT for 11 consecutive years – a people-first environment where your voice is heard and teamwork is the norm.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide direct patient care including psychiatric evaluations, ongoing treatment, and medication management for children/adolescents and families.

  • Drive program excellence—outcomes, access, safety, and evidence-informed care across sites.

  • Lead, mentor and educate clinicians throughout Child & Family Programs.

  • Supervise a team of three APRNs (mentoring, case consultation, feedback).

  • Partner with program/service directors to align clinical and operational goals and elevate family-centered care.

  • Coordinate across CHR’s continuum and with mobile crisis for urgent community needs.

  • Support hiring, onboarding, and professional development.

  • Contribute to policy, compliance, and quality-improvement initiatives in collaboration with the Medical Director.

What You Bring

  • MD/DO with Board Certification in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry strongly preferred. In lieu of subspecialty board certification, significant, demonstrated recent experience treating children and adolescents may be considered.

  • Clinical child and adolescent psychiatry experience required

  • Leadership experience strongly preferred (team lead, supervision, program oversight).

  • Proven collaborator who values shared decision-making and transparent communication.

  • Genuine commitment to serving youth with complex mental health needs.

  • Active Connecticut license (or eligibility).

  • A collaborative, family-centered approach and commitment to continuous improvement.

Enjoy a Full Spectrum of Benefits:

  • Generous Time Off: Includes vacation, sick time, and your birthday off!

  • Comprehensive Insurance: Health, dental, vision + discounts on pet, auto, and home insurance

  • 403(b) Retirement Plan: With employer contributions

  • Loan Repayment: Eligible for NHSC and Public Loan Forgiveness programs

  • Wellness Perks: Annual wellness stipend, Calm app subscription, yoga, and wellness events

  • Professional Development: Free trainings, mentorship, internal career fairs, and leadership luncheons

  • Inclusive Culture: DEI Council, employee resource groups, and a welcoming, mission-driven environment

  • Stay Informed: Weekly leadership updates and monthly newsletters keep you connected
