To our friends, our clients, to all those served by our clients, to our partners, and of course to our own staff and loved ones during this holiday season and beyond — from Stuart Meyers, President and Founder of The Meyers Group.

As we all know, this time of year we are encouraged to be grateful for what we have, and for our relationships. But as we also know, this can be a particularly difficult time for many who have difficulty feeling grateful for a great deal in this holiday season.

I first want to share what I personally feel incredibly grateful for on this 25th anniversary of The Meyers Group — having had the opportunity for our Search Firm to be trusted to bring behavioral health and community health center organizations more then 4300 leaders and clinical staff to thousands of provider groups across our country.

I have been honored to able to partner with you all for so many years as both a clinician and health care executive my entire career given my understanding of what a difference each and every provider group and its staff makes for thousands of individuals in need of our care. You all know who you are — but I will do my best over the next few holidays to find as many of you as I can to thank you personally for entrusting us to bring you caring and highly competent staff to deliver services to so many in need.

In recognition of this time of year also being difficult for many, let me encourage you all to recognize the impact “kindness” has on those in your work and personal lives. Just think about how you each feel when a client, colleague, supervisor or loved one let’s you know that you matter — that you are appreciated, even if they just show you with a smile. I try to make that a daily habit because I know it makes someone else feel good about who they are or what they’ve done.

But truthfully, this year my New Year’s resolution — the one I make every year with little follow-through — will be to show myself genuine kindness through also making time for myself to exercise more, with a commitment to find more balance in my own life. And you should feel free to check in on me, and hold me accountable, as long as you don’t mind telling me how you are demonstrating “kindness” to others and taking care of yourself.  Together, we will make America kind again!

So, thank you all for allowing The Meyers Group to be in your lives all these years! I love what I do every day, knowing you are making a difference in the lives of so many despite the challenges currently facing our industry. Please keep up such important work!  I know I will.

My very best holiday wishes to you all,

Stuart Meyers
