Overview: Join the leadership team of Bridgeway, an innovative system of non-profit organizations delivering community-based health and human services to a wide range of individuals in need across north and west central Illinois. As the Vice President of Business Development,  you will identify, cultivate, recommend, and execute business development opportunities based on industry forces, emerging competition, and shifts in the local markets to support Bridgeway’s mission, vision, and growth agenda.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, and in collaboration with the leadership team, you will have key responsibility for advancing Bridgeway’s growth agenda and partnership goals in core/targeted impact areas including driving organic growth, expanding commercial third party and public payer relationships, and fostering effective partnerships and relations within the behavioral health, disability services and primary care communities. Your work will include a mix of regular face-to-face engagement with the leadership team, in-person observation and consultation within programs and service sites, and extensive engagement and relationship-building with current and prospective business partners.

As Vice President, you will influence corporate-wide performance through the design and implementation of business development strategies that match opportunities with the priorities of the organization based on the strategic value to be realized relative to execution risk or resource outlay. To meet the needs of key customers, you will play a leadership role in identifying and promoting the programs and services that enable Bridgeway to respond to their needs and will play a lead role in the execution of these opportunities.

By staying aware of current trends and the marketplace environment, you will advise the organization regarding buy/build strategies and will thoroughly vet the operations, financial and legal implications of each opportunity. You will assess, recommend, and implement innovative business models that drive growth and introduce new technologies, services, and processes to Bridgeway. Collaborating with staff, you will identify avenues of economic support for new projects and participate in the design, roll-out and pricing of new products or repacking of existing products. As a strategist capable of guiding our system-level leadership through a variety of complex business development initiatives, you will advance Bridgeway’s reputation for “creating solutions for everyone.”

Home-based in Galesburg, Illinois, Bridgeway is a $28M+non-profit system of services and programs that reflect the diversity of human service needs within the rural and mid-size metro areas they serve across 20 counties (www.bway.org) .
